Do you like to help an event function? Do you like to write? Do you like to create videos? Do you want to DJ or teach? However, you want to be involved in the community, Hot Jam wants to support you.
Hot Jam is an organization and event that upholds and supports the culture of Lindy Hop and the swing era dances, which are a part of the African American heritage. An important component of this is the communal nature of the event/dance. We were created by the people, and we seek to support the people. So, please, share your voice and your gifts, and become an active member of the Hot Jam community.
If you are interested in doing something, but don’t know how to do it. We can train you that way we can grow together and support the development of the community.

Volunteering at Hot Jam is a way to save money on dances and classes. We welcome anyone to volunteer and share their gifts.
Event volunteers generally have 30-minute shifts. They may take money at the Front Desk, fill water, help with setup or tear down. In exchange, you can:
Attend the dance for free
Take any Progressive class for $5 each
Receive the Student Discount on any miscellaneous items, like T-shirts
Note: This is the most common form of volunteering at Hot Jam, but not the only. Exercise your voice and help uplift Hot Jam’s by getting involved and building community.
